Zachary Billot
Zachary Billot received a Bachelors in Political Science in May 2024 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A born and raised Las Vegas local, Zach is interested in the connection between environment, especially wildlife, and policy creation. Zach brings environmental field work experience through an internship with the Fisheries and Wildlife Division of the DC government this past summer, bird research in the Spring Mountains of Nevada, and volunteer work through a Southern Nevada conservancy nonprofit.
Zach is the recipient of several awards for both his research and service to the community. He is additionally the Nevada 2023 Harry S Truman Scholar, the Nevada 2023 Morris & Stewart Udall scholar, and completed the prestigious Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
Zach looks forward to learning more and contributing to the great state of California and San Diego County that parts of his family have called home for decades.
