Rebekah Angona

Rebekah’s love for nature brought her to San Diego Bird Alliance in 2013. Since then, she has dedicated her time connecting youth, families and the general community to the outdoors. With a Master’s degree in Education, Rebekah served as a high school teacher, university professor, and Education Specialist at the Birch Aquarium before joining the San Diego Bird Alliance team.
As Director of Education, Rebekah grew SDBA’s education department to serve audiences throughout San Diego County. In 2017, she expanded her role to include becoming the Resident Manager of the Anstine-Audubon Nature Preserve in Vista. Currently, Rebekah serves as SDBA’s Director of Property Stewardship, overseeing the programs, events, and land management practices for both the Anstine-Audubon Nature Preserve and Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of environmentalists to have a love and passion for protecting wildlife and native wild spaces.
