Born and raised in San Diego, Laura has always felt a deep connection to the natural world around her. With hands-on experience in habitat restoration, she actively works to revive and preserve native ecosystems. In 2023, she began her journey as a volunteer with the San Diego Bird Alliance, where her passion for conservation quickly blossomed. A proud alumna of the 2024 Earth Advocates cohort, Laura is dedicated to protecting the natural beauty of her community.
Laura immerses herself in learning about the region’s biodiversity and enjoys birding, hiking, and capturing nature’s beauty through photography. She also values attending local events focused on reconnection, conservation, and inclusivity, believing that community engagement is essential for effective stewardship.
