Welcome to Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary

Our work

Silverwood Habitat Restoration Volunteer Event

We need some extra hands to help remove invasive plants at our lovely Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary on Monday, March 7.

Removing non-native vegetation is vital for the continuing health of Silverwood’s coastal chaparral and riparian woodland ecosystems. Help give native plants a chance!

Please register by clicking the orange "RSVP Now" button towards the top right of this page.

Volunteers should work in long pants and boots or sturdy shoes. It’s always a good idea to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. We will provide gloves and tools. Restrooms and hand sanitizing stations are available on the property.

By registering for this volunteer event at an SDAS property you are agreeing to the terms, conditions, and code of conduct outlined in the waiver below for yourself and any members of your household who are attending. Please review the waiver before proceeding with registration.

Note: On the morning of this event, the property will be open only to staff and the volunteers who registered. Silverwood is open to visitors on Sundays. Please check our events calendar for more information.
