Habitat Restoration at Emory Cove
Join San Diego Audubon as we restore habitat for birds and other local wildlife! We will be removing invasive weeds like Sahara Mustard, Crown Daisy, and Freeway Iceplant. With your help, we'll make room for native species to take hold at this site where many native birds forage, rest and reside. You may even catch a glimpse of Pink Floyd, Emory Cove's famous free-roaming flamingo!
Below you'll find all the details for the event:
When: Saturday, June 3rd at 9:30 AM
Where: We'll meet along the Bayshore Bikeway off of CA-75 between Imperial Beach and Coronado. GPS location is 32.605858, -117.128460
What to Bring: Please come prepared with closed-toe shoes and layers in the case of cold or windy weather. We'll provide all the tools needed for weeding, gloves, snacks and extra water so please bring a reusable water bottle.
