Habitat Restoration at Stony Point
Join San Diego Audubon as we restore nesting habitat for the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird, at Stony Point! We will be removing invasive weeds to make room for these nesting endangered birds.
All supplies will be provided including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and hat.
We'll meet at Stony Point which located at the far end of the Fiesta Island Dog Park. Park directly next to the dog park and walk through the gates into the dog park itself. Keep the water on your right hand side and walk all the way to the end of the dog park. It will be about a 10 min walk. You will come to a chain link buffer fence, keep going until you reach the second fence, which marks the nesting site. This is where we will meet and check-in.
