Community Habitat Restoration: North Fiesta Island
Join San Diego Audubon for the last restoration event of the year where we'll be enhancing nesting habitat for the California Least Tern, a federally endangered migratory seabird, at North Fiesta Island. North Fiesta Island is one of the largest California Least Tern nesting sites in Mission Bay and would benefit immensely from the community's help!
We will be removing invasive weeds to make room for these nesting endangered birds.
All supplies will be provided including tools, gloves, water and snacks, but come prepared in closed-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and hat.
