We couldn't fulfill our mission without our incredible partners.
One of those partners is Heather Henter, the Executive Director of the UCSD Natural Reserve System. She has been a fantastic partner, bringing a scientific and organized perspective to Love Your Wetlands Day, Wander the Wetlands, Sharing Our Shores, and countless other events to get people into the Marsh and falling in love with it. She has partnered with us to make sure that people get science based information about how valuable our tidal marshes are and has joined our efforts to improve Indigenous partnerships and interpretation of Mission Bay.
Her hard work has paid off and she is retiring soon. We hope that Heather gets a chance to fully enjoy the next Love Your Wetlands Day without having to plan so much and we look forward to continuing to advocate for ReWild Mission Bay with her!
We are also excited to see who the new Executive Director will be. If you're interested in working with the UCSD Natural Reserve System, check out the job posting HERE.
